On this special happy occasion, I am very proud to say a few words about our "ANNA'.
What to say , how to say .. in short it is a tough job for me.

Anna, we never called him Appa, was a bold, punctual, very creative, very kind and plain worderful person. As for as I know, he had fulfilled in a nice manner what is expected of him to each and every one connected to him. One simple example. For any function, he used to be present in advance wearing a nice dhoti and towel ( Thundu is a very special item) to bless others.

We all know how well the marriage arrangements are organised and conducted by members of T K Neelakanta Iyer family and TRS family. How much was done by GS ? These were the root for the present day marriage contracts.

After my marriage, SVS had to arrange for my sister in law's marriage in 1974. We had lost my father in law just before the marriage. Anna and GS gave all support and SVS family is always grateful about Baluserry Chit Funds. SVS is mentioning so many times that Anna came to the function and gave him a cover containing money ,( which is very small at present, but very big at that time), to keep that as a buffer for the marriage expenses. Very timely help. We could imagine, what trouble he would have taken to get that money.

When we think of him, his anger and shouting will come to our mind. When he returns home, we , his children would hear his foot steps in a distance and we will be in a 'gupchup' position and we go near him only when is before vetrilaipetti after refreshing himself. At that time he will please and console the child he had scolded before leaving for office. We always remain careful not to give any opportunity for him to shout at us. That we can say was out of fear. Now, in hindsight, we understand that his action was very much essential to correct our errors, slackness etc.and to lead us in the correct direction.

His narration about the temple experiences were much interesting. His respects to his ANNA & MANNI was very enviable, (Jagdeesa Iyer periappa and Subbalakshmi Periamma) ,Leave alone periappa, Periamma was also very kind to ANNA.

How much and many sorrows ANNA and AMMA had undergone, how much troubles they had taken to nourish us and brought us up to this level ?. Their perseverance, magnanimity, maturity were unimaginable. They never found fault with anybody. The future generation should also follow these, which will be one way of showing regards to them.
